I'm so excited for this year in our Hale Chorus!!
Because it is my last year directing the Hale Chorus, I have chosen a few of my very favorite songs.
Some of your current Hale Chorus students will recognize a few of them and some of your OLDER Hale Chorus students will recognize others.
The best way for youth to learn music is constant repetition. We only have 45 mins every week -- and that's not quite enough time to teach all the words and the melodies. They will need to rehearse on their own at home and these videos are a great way to make that happen.
If they listen to these songs/videos a couple times a week -- or as often as you allow -- it will definitely make our Tuesday rehearsals more effective. We'll be able to work on shaping the music to be more… musical… and that will enhance their entire experience in Hale Chorus.
For the future -- the last song of our Hale Chorus Concert on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 will be "Why We Sing". I would LOVE for any Hale Chorus Alumni to be able to come up and sing with us.
So -- have your older kiddos learn the song with their younger siblings -- how fun does THAT sound?!?!
Thank you for allowing your students to participate with us this year!!
I'll post more information about Seussical Jr. and the upcoming auditions in a week or two.
Let me know if you have any questions.
